Marcio Tabata holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp) and has specialized in Intellectual Property at the Universidade de Campinas (Unicamp).
He currently serves as one of the coordinators of the Patent, Industrial Design, and Technology Transfer Committee of the São Paulo Intellectual Property Association (ASPI) for the 2025–2027 term.
Marcio assists clients in the prosecution of patent applications and industrial design registrations, with extensive experience in intellectual property consulting. He also works on prior art searches, patent drafting, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, and infringement assessments.
In addition, he acts as a technical expert in court proceedings involving patent and industrial design invalidity and infringement actions.
