Luiz Edgard Montaury Pimenta is a trial lawyer, Industrial Property Agent, and the firm’s senior partner. With over 30 years of experience in the Intellectual Property field, he heads the firm’s Litigation team, as well as coordinates different departments within the firm. He is currently President of the international association The Global Network of National IP Practitioner Associations (GNIPA), a board member of GLIPA (Global IP Alliance), a member of SACEPO (Standing Advisory Committee before the European Patent Office)´s Working Party on Quality and was the president of ABPI (Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property) from 2018 to 2021.
Luiz is a member of AASP (São Paulo Lawyer´s Association), a member of ABPI ( Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property) and a member of FICPI (International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys), a member of the 5G Special Commission, Technical Standards and Technological Innovation (CEPTIT) of the Rio de Janeiro Bar Association (OAB/RJ), a member of the Intellectual Property Task Force of AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce in Brazil) and a panelist at the domain names dispute resolution centers of WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), NAF (National Arbitration Forum) and ABPI and, as such, has been responsible for several important decisions involving cross-border IP disputes.
Recognized by the highest national and international rankings, he is an active speaker at IP events in Brazil, USA, Latin America and Europe and is the author of numerous publications in his area of expertise. In 2021, in recognition of the relevant services that Luiz has been providing to the legal practice, in the PI area, the Rio de Janeiro State School of Judiciary (EMERJ), awarded him the EMERJ MEDAL OF MERIT.

Marianna has been working with Intellectual Property since 2000. She became a partner of Montaury Pimenta Firm in 2002 and is one of the heads of the litigation department since 2011. Marianna’s experience covers all aspects of intellectual property with special emphasis on civil litigation involving trademarks, copyright, industrial designs, domain names and unfair competition & trade dress, as well as in the development and enforcement of strategies for protection and enforcement of these rights.

She graduated in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in 2023 and is currently studying for a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law at the same institution.
Her experience includes out-of-court disputes and complex litigation before national courts, including the Superior Courts, related to Intellectual Property, mainly involving trademarks, domain names, unfair competition, digital law and copyright, representing national and international clients.

Carolina Mansinho is an attorney with extensive experience in strategic civil litigation in Intellectual Property, in addition to expertise in Civil, Consumer, and Administrative Law, which provides her with a solid and comprehensive background in delivering solutions in the field of Intellectual Property.
She also has experience with contracts (particularly those involving Copyright), administrative trademark registration proceedings, and representations before CONAR (Brazilian National Advertising Self-Regulation Council). She participates in negotiations with major market players and has expertise in mediating agreements involving highly complex matters.

David Fernando Rodrigues is a lawyer and a data processing technician with more than 16 years of experience in Intellectual Property and Digital Law, focused on infringement combat actions and anti-counterfeiting programs.
